At Gracious Bay Counseling, we offer both in-person and telehealth options for individual psychotherapy and counseling services for children, adolescents, and adults in a supportive environment where all are welcomed. Our professional therapists offer an integrated approach to help with a wide range of interpersonal, relational, behavioral and mental health concerns. We are dedicated to helping clients understand the underlying causes that may be contributing to areas of problem or concern while providing tools to build skills that promote health and well-being.

Jennifer Murray, LMHC, MCCS

Owner & Therapist

Jennifer is a licensed mental health counselor who works with children, adolescents, and adults. She has experience in school settings across all grade levels, along with experience in clinical outpatient services with teens and adults. Utilizing a person centered, strengths-based approach she provides individualized treatment to best meet a client’s symptoms, support their personal growth and improve overall well-being. With a trauma informed approach Jenn aims to bring a greater understanding between the connection of emotions and behavior. Jennifer strives to provide a compassionate and empathic space that supports each client’s journey and wellness. She specializes in life transitions, anxiety, trauma, stress management, grief, mood disorders, neurodiversity, parenting, with a focus on parenting a child with ADHD, ASD, and executive functioning challenges. She provides individual and group counseling that incorporates a range of concepts and theories including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, psychoeducation, narrative therapy and play therapy techniques. Jenn enjoys cooking, crafting and time outdoors- especially gardening, hiking, playing with her kids and 2 dogs, snorkeling and scuba diving!


Jennifer received her Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Bridgewater State University along with an Ed.M. in Education from Boston University.

Margaret Bennette, M.Ed.

Therapist​

Margaret is a Master’s Level Clinician who works with mostly children & adolescents. Her experience includes mindfulness based approaches and trauma-informed counseling. Margaret focuses on the therapeutic relationship with a sense of humor, collaboration, and a space free of
judgment. Her experience includes both clinical and school-based counseling. She is passionate about the mind-body connection and sharing psychoeducation with clients. Her main focuses include anxiety, trauma, depression, self-esteem, and communication skills. Personally, she loves
Mexican food, her cat Daisy, and going for walks in nature!


She received her Master’s of Education in Mental Health Counseling (Dual Licensure) degree at Bridgewater State University and Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Endicott College.

Jennifer Cleary, Ed.M, LCSW

Therapist

Jennifer (Jen) Cleary is a Master’s level LCSW licensed in MA and RI. Jen has worked with both adolescents and adults with various presenting concerns such as anxiety, phobia, depression, grief, substance use, LGBTQIA+ identity, motivation for change, life adjustments/transitions, communication, executive functioning, and interpersonal relationships. As a relational therapist, Jen utilizes a strengths-based perspective with a trauma-informed lens, bringing warmth, hope, curiosity, and humor into the therapeutic process to support her clients in improving their well-being and connecting more authentically in their own lives and environments. Jen is experienced in using concepts from various approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Psychodynamic concepts, as well as the mind-body connection’s effects on physical health. Jen is also a creative educator with two decades of experience teaching theater and communication to undergraduates and provides wellness support to artists.

 

Jen received her Masters in Social Work from Boston University’s School of Social Work and an Ed. M. in Arts-in-Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

Lauren Dougherty, LCSW

Therapist

Lauren/lodo (she/they) is a Master’s level LCSW licensed in MA clinically trained at the Smith School for Social Work. She has worked in college mental health settings with young adults; in emergency departments with adults; and a nonprofit for children, families, teens, and adults.

Their clinical work is founded on an anti-racist, intersectional, transfeminist perspective with an emphasis on the disruption to oppressive systems. As a relational therapist, Lauren utilizes humor, somatic practices, psychodynamic concepts, and narrative therapy skills to support and guide their client’s through their process; she will also use skills found in CBT and ACT when appropriate. At the heart of lodo’s work is that the work they do is rooted in social justice; a self-described student for life, she is committed to learning. Her main focuses are identity exploration (LGBTQIA+, gender, disability, neurodiversity, positionality, etc), anxiety, self-esteem, life transitions, stress, and time management. When she is not working, lodo can be found walking while completing her Album of the Day listen, making elaborate salads, trying to use her Cricut, and reading.

Lauren received her Masters in Clinical Social Work from Smith College School for Social Work. She has her BA in Criminology and Philosophy from Stonehill College.

Erica Goodman, LMHC

Therapist

Erica is a Master's level clinician who has experience working with children and adolescents in various settings such as group milieu, school, and residential programs. She enjoys using art and play modalities as well as cognitive behavioral therapy approaches. Erica uses an interactive approach to help clients build social and communication skills, improve self-esteem, and learn coping skills.

Erica received her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lesley University.

Susan McSweeney, MS, LMFT, LMHC

Therapist

Susan is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who works with children, adolescents, couples and families. Her specialties include anxiety, depression and all forms of addictive behaviors; she uses a cognitive behavioral therapeutic approach. She has
certifications in ADD/ADHD treatment and as an Active Parenting Educator. Susan focuses on the mind-body connection incorporating nutritional counseling into a holistic perspective.

Susan received her Masters of Science degree in Counseling Psychology from Northeastern University.

Gail Kershaw, M.Ed.

Gail is a visual arts teacher, painter, printmaker and maker of all things. Creating and Living in Plymouth with her husband and cat, Matisse. She believes creativity has the ability to bring peace and offers a place to be mindful.
